Gazi Husrev-bey Library has often been in the focus of the media, especially those whose field of interest is culture, tradition, or science, but also of people who follow recent news and events of social life in Sarajevo and in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Particular attention of the public was drawn to individual Library artefacts, rare manuscripts or old documents, as well as to the history of the Library marked by wartime story of saving books and other Library funds in the period of 1992-1995.

However, the greatest media promotion of Gazi Husrev-bey Library took place in January of 2014 when the newly designed and constructed building was opened.
